Rodent Deterrent Air Brick Covers
Our rodent deterrent air brick covers deter mice and rats from entering your property.
It is estimated that nearly 70% of all rodent infestations are as a result of mice and rats gaining access through air bricks that have aperture openings of greater than 5mm (size of a pencil).
So if you can prod a pencil through your air bricks then you need to install our rodent deterrent air brick covers for mice and if your airbrick is broken or you have pipe work going into the house via an airbrick you need the airbrick covers to deter rats.
Every order comes with free silicone; simply apply a small bead of silicone around the edge of the rodent deterrent air brick cover (the size of your little finger), and then press the cover directly on top of your existing air brick. Installation takes less than 1 minute to install each cover.
Rodents have an incredible ability to squash through even the smallest hole; their fur can actually make them look three times bigger than they actually are. I was lucky enough to be asked to appear on BBC2's Trade Secrets showing how to deal with unwanted rodents in houses. The item I revealed to be of most use in the fight against rodents was an ordinary pencil. During the TV programme I was shown walking around the outside of a house looking for holes that I could poke my pencil into. Of course I then went onto explain that where ever I could prod my pencil, then a mouse could follow, if the airbrick is slightly damaged it could allow something larger like rats.
My advice to any property owner is to check all your air bricks, if you can push a pencil through the holes then you should consider purchasing our Rodent Deterrent Air Brick Covers, prevention is much better than cure. Rats and mice out rather than in!
Air brick covers must not be used to cover air vents which are being used for the ventilation of gas appliances. The air brick may become blocked with dust, leaves, dirt etc which would restrict air flow and increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
